The Insides Company is the developer and manufacturer of therapeutic chyme reinfusion solutions for patients recovering from colorectal surgery and complex intestinal diseases, including patients with intestinal failure resulting from enterocutaneous fistulas and high output enterostomies.

Founded in 2017, The Insides Company formerly known as Surgical Design Studio, is a spin-out of The University of Auckland Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences and supported by the MedTech CoRE and Auckland UniServices.

The Insides Company is an ISO13485 certified manufacturer of medical devices and its first product, The Insides System has been granted Breakthrough Device Designation by the US FDA. The Insides System is now commercially available in the United Kingdom, Europe and New Zealand after being CE marked and registered on the WAND Database, with Obex Medical Limited appointed as the exclusive distributors for New Zealand.
