Modica is a Communications Platform as a Service (“CPaaS”) company, providing Application to Person (“A2P”) messaging solutions with a focus on large, blue-chip enterprises. Clients use Modica’s OMNI platform to deliver mission-critical, one and two-way communications with both consumers and their own employees. Uses include 2-factor authentication, fraud alerts, emergency responses and appointments reminders. In New Zealand the Company runs direct sales and uses its network of strategic partnerships with Mobile Network Operators (“MNOs”) to access global markets (“Distribution Partnerships”).
Modica is the dominant A2P message provider in New Zealand through direct sales and also a Distribution Partnership with Spark, and it entered the Australian market three years ago with a Distribution Partnership with Optus, Australia’s second largest MNO and a subsidiary of SingTel Group. Modica is also in the process of entering South East Asia (“SEA”) and is in advanced discussions with MNOs in Indonesia and the Philippines. Modica is also developing partnerships in Latin America (“LATAM”) with direct connections having been established in Paraguay and with a large global MNO’s pan-LATAM network.
In addition to growing its existing markets and pursuing overseas expansion, the Company is expanding its platform to encompass all kinds of adjacent enterprise mobile solutions including: Data Analytics, Internet of Things, Mobile Payments and Mobile Ads.
