Key highlights for Orbica over the last year include:

  • Development of our first SaaS product, OrbViz – we’re currently six months into a 12-month road map

How many funding rounds have you had in that time, and where has the funding come from?

None.

Have staff numbers increased over the past year? In what ways has this impacted on how the team operates?

We have added an additional seven staff in the past year in development, administration and business roles. This has enabled us to investigate new research and development opportunities, offer new service streams, reduce administrative burden, boost business development and improve service delivery.

Have you increased your number of offices over the past year?

No. We currently have our HQ in Christchurch and our European office in Berlin.

What is Orbica’s focus for the next 12 months?
  • Successfully launching our first SaaS product with a focus on new export markets
  • A potential capital round
  • Growing our customer base
  • Growing our technical team in Germany to support the growth of our customer base
What has been the biggest challenge you’ve faced over the past year and how did you overcome it?

The biggest challenge we have is recruiting the right staff; specialists in our field are unique. We are investing in training new staff who don’t have the full skill set.
