Winning the Excellence in Innovation category as well as the Supreme Business Excellence Award at the 2019 Westpac Auckland Business Awards - Best of the Best - earlier this year. It was a great win for our people and a huge boost for morale. We’re pitching against the big guys around the world and we often win. In fact, we more than often win—that’s why we have to live and breathe innovation.

I am Chairman of Export NZ’s National Advisory Board and the leader of more than 12 Trade Missions since 1996. I’m also a key driver of Glidepath’s technology thrust.

I believe a successful tech exporter needs to be observant both in-market and within its own facility. They’ve got to travel far and wide seeking inspiration. It’s also vital that they’re a technology disciple of their own industry, able to articulate ideas and techniques to other technologists. They’ve also got to keep abreast of trends and materials and be able to market and sell creations for scale in the market.
