Kia ora koutou,
The NZ Fintech Report 2024 was launched last week. With commentary from the leading lights of the sector, profiles of the 23 largest firms with $5m+ in revenue, and a directory of 100 key firms, it’s a 32-page education in the Aotearoa fintech ecosystem. Thanks to the support of our sponsors, it’s free for all to read here.
If you couldn’t join us at the event on Thursday, never fear. We have the most intoxicating slide from the presentation: a growth comparison between the New Zealand fintech and wine industries.
Wine is a mature and established export sector in NZ, and we can see how fast fintech is growing, quickly rising to compete with wine – if not quite overtake it. Wine will get a boost from freshly inked EU and UK free trade deals, both of which also contain provisions for digital trade. But fintech – a predominantly weightless good – has a clear headroom advantage. For the full slide deck, reach out to our Head of Research at alex.dickson@tinetwork.com.
The NZ Fintech Report 2024, along with all our other sector reports, draws on our TIN Survey. This will be landing in your inboxes shortly: please do give it your attention. If you find value in our reports, know that we rely on the engagement of our community to keep the data relevant.
