As the fall-out from COVID-19 coronavirus continues to permeate the global economy, I would like to pause a minute to share thoughts and condolences with those directly impacted by this virus. Amongst the disruption, let’s not forget the human lives affected - we must be vigilant to safeguard against its spread.

Healthtech is our focus for March, and you’ll see some exciting developments from two of TIN’s healthtech companies in TINWire this week. Aroa Biosurgery’s tissue repair products are set to be available in the New Zealand market, while Fisher & Paykel Healthcare reinforces its desire to help deliver a more sustainable healthcare service the world over. We’ve had a incredibly positive response to the launch of our HealthTech Insights Report on Tuesday, 24 March – if you haven’t already registered for the Pathways to Success event which we’re hosting alongside CMDT, please secure your spot now! And there’s exciting news on the agritech front – smart-cow startup Halter has added former TradeMe CTO Simon Young to its engineering bench with a commercial launch coming soon, while Tauranga-based Robotics Plus has earned the distinction of being the only NZ company on this year’s THRIVE Top 50 – the annual ranking of global agritech companies representing the best in agriculture innovation. As we look ahead to Fieldays in June, you can expect some new developments from TIN in this sector – stay tuned!
