Summer’s not done just yet, so still time to reflect on the incredible future of the tech sector for New Zealand.
So, it was exciting to see Banqer’s CEO Kendall Flutey recognised as Young New Zealander of the Year at the Kiwibank awards recently; it’s a much-deserved accolade for a young entrepreneur who has done a huge amount to bring financial literacy into the classroom through her interactive financial education platform. She says that one of her best investment decisions ever was the $12 that allowed her to build a website for her first business when she was at University. The profits funded her travels once she’d graduated.
We’re looking forward to our first TINShed of the year this Thursday where we’ll discuss the talent gap and what we can be doing to address it. It’s one of the most burning challenges facing TIN companies, and it’s an event not to be missed! Register now if you haven’t already.
Finally, we’re always interested to hear news from the TIN community. If you’ve got a story you’d like to share, please contact me via greg.shanahan@tinetwork.com.
All the best,
Greg & the TIN Team
